YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS REPUBLICAN WOMEN
Texas
Yellow Rose of Texas RW, although small in number, is mighty in strength. This year, the club has donated six books to the Tomball ISD and Magnolia ISD libraries to honor the Mamie Eisenhower Literacy Program, as well as five books to five area elementary schools in honor of the Barbara Bush Literacy Program. In addition, the club has donated 750 dictionaries to two elementary schools in the aforementioned school districts. At present, the club is participating in the Constitution Project. Also, the Yellow Rose supported the military by collecting pocketsize Bibles to be delivered to U.S. fighting men and women abroad. The Yellow Rose of Texas publishes a monthly newsletter which is distributed around town and to elected officials, and is used as an educational and recruitment tool.

Government will not fail to employ education, to strengthen its hands, and perpetuate its institutions."
-- William Godwin, Enquiry Concerning Political Justice (1793).
